Hi...
For this check Physical connection of your speakers or Headphones..
And update drivers in Device manager..
For that Execute devmgmt.msc command...
And choose Video and audio drivers..
Right click on drivers..
Click on update drivers...
Thank you...
There could be two definite problems in your Laptop Sound .
1. The Driver for Audio is corrupt or missing.
2. The Speakers are damaged.
Click Stsrt--Control Panel--System And Sound--Device Manager--Sound.....--Driver--Uninstall.
Log into www.compaq.com , search here for drivers, search for driver for audio for your laptop model, which is Windows 7 compatible, download and install.
Exit and reboot, now check the sound output.
Right Click on the Volume Icon on the Taskbar Tray and check if the sound is MUTED , UNMUTE from the settings.
If this has no effect on the sound output, contact Compaq Service Center whether the speakers or circuits are damaged and for their repair.

after that right click on SPEAKERS and choose properties .......and tap on ENHANCEMENTS tab
and un check DISABLE ALL ENHANCEMENTS option and click Ok
after that go to CONTROL PANEL and type troubleshoot in the search box of control panel and click on Troubleshooting option
then click Hardware and sound option and now choose playing Audio and click Advanced option and choose Apply automatic Repair and finally click NEXT button ...and go on with the steps to complete the process
