    Dear Friend!!
Go to my computer, at top, click change or uninstall program.
In the left, there is an link for installed updates.
uninstall the unnecessary updates and then restart the computer.
Else go to device manager by right clicking on computer and then properties and at top left is device manager.
there you should check the latest version of your sound drivers by clicking double in sound and game controller.
    update them if necessary.
    this will solve the problem.

    Hi,

Your problem came after installing an update and that is very common as even microsoft apolozised to the users after auto updating some updates earlier which acted even more dramatically to completely shutting down the system.

In any case you go to CONTROL PANEL > PROGRAMS > UNINSTALL the update if you can identify the update.

Else,CONTROL PANEL > HARDWARE AND SOUND > DEVICE MANAGER > SOUND DEVICE > DRIVER > UNINSTALL > then UPDATE DRIVER to install a fresh driver.

    Thanks.

    Hi My Friend,,

    Using the Microsoft Sound Troubleshooter

Click Start , and then click Control Panel .

Under System and Security , click Find and fix problems .

The Troubleshoot computer problems page opens. Under Hardware and Sound , click Troubleshoot audio playback .

The Playing audio troubleshooting page displays. Click Next to continue.

Wait while the troubleshooter checks the computer for problems

If multiple audio devices are connected, select the device you want to troubleshoot, such as speakers, and then click Next .

Wait while the troubleshooter detects problems and makes changes.

When the troubleshooter is done, the Troubleshooting has completed page displays listing any problems found and what changes were made to the computer. Click Close .

    Have A Nice Day

    Hello Friend,

Well, your Media Player is either corupted or some files are missing during the update. To sort out this issue you have to uninstall the media player from your PC. Go to start menu then control panel and then programs. From the list select media player and uninstall it. Now, you have to download the latest version of the media player from the internet. Install it to your PC and hopefully there will be no problem. You can also downlaod GOM Player and KM Player as well.
