Not able to enable ‘Network List Service’ on Windows Vista

As I want to turn on Network List Service on my PC running on Windows Vista, I clicked the ‘OK’ button on the “Do you want to turn on Network List Service?” prompt message. This will bring up a button to enable the service. But, nothing happened even after clicking the button several times. Is there any other way available to turn it on?

Choose the ‘Run’ from the options appear on the screen after clicking the ‘Start’ button. Type dcomcnfg into the available field and press the ‘Enter’ key. Navigate into the path, Component Services/Computers/My Computer/DCOM Config/netprofm and right click on ‘netprofm’. Select ‘Properties’ and change the ‘Launch and Activation Permissions’ into ‘Customize’ under ‘Security’ tab. Press the ‘Edit’ button afterwards and hit the ‘Add’ button. Enter ‘Local Service’ as the object name and click the ‘OK’ button. Set ‘Allow’ for both ‘Local Launch’ and ‘Local Activation’ and press the ‘OK’ button in all windows.
