    Not able to find the volume Icon in Toolbar

    I am using windows vista. Last night when i started my computer,everything was fine but now volume icon is missing from the task bar.However there is no any issue with battery display bar and it appears normally. Is there any method to bring the same back again because I am facing lots of issues due to that.

    Don't worry. You can bring the volume icon back simply by right clicking the taskbar and then selecting "Properties". There you should select "Notification Area" tab and check the checkbox next to "Volume". Finally click on "Ok" option and restart your Computer.

    hi my dear friend..............to bring back volume Icon on toolbar

    simply click the start menu and open the control panel

    after that click on appearance and personalization option

    now click the task bar and start menu option

    then choose the TASKBAR tab and click on CUSTOMIZE button

    first check whether the volume Icon and select it as show icons and notifications

    then click on turn system Icons on or off option from the bottom of the window

    then select the volume icon and make it ON and click OK button

    whenever there will be change any setting manually or automatic , user get problems.
    Many time user lost volume icon on taskbar and facing trouble to find volume icon and also to control and setting the volume.
    But you can recover it back on your taskbar just doing some simple setting.
    From taskbar volume icon , you can set the volume very easily and very important on the taskbar to control the volume from taskbar.

    Volume icon get back on taskbar

    --> Go to "start" and then "control panel"
    --> select "sound and audio device"
    --> click on "volume" tab and here you can set the volume according to your choice and you will see the option also that namely "place volume on the taskbar" just below the volume setting
    --> check the box "place volume on the taskbar"
    --> now you are able to see the volume icon on the taskbar

    To activate volume icon on Taskbar you just need to follow these steps...

    =====>Right click on the Taskbar.
    =====>Click on Properties.
    =====>After clicking you will get the Taskbar and Start menu properties window.
    =====>Now click on Customize button.
    =====>After clicking you will get the Taskbar notification area window.
    =====>In this window just find the Volume.
    =====>Now select the option Show icon and notification from the drop down menu.
    =====>Now click on Apply and than OK button to save cahnge.
    =====>
    After doing so Volume icon will enable on Taskbar.

    Try this i hope this will help you...

    Hello friend...

    it is too easy to show the icon in the toolbar..

    Follow this steps:-

    Open the Control panel then click the Sound and Audio Driver..

    Open the Sound and Audio Driver Properties, click the Volume tab, Click the place volume icon in the Taskbar Checkbox.

    Click the Ok button..

    Finally you show the volume icon in the taskbar.....

    2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \TrayNotify
    3. In the Details pane, click the IconStreams registry entry.
    4. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click Yes.
    5. In the Details pane, click the PastIconsStream registry entry.
    6. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click Yes.
    7. Exit Registry Editor.
    8. Restart the Explorer.exe process. To do these, follow these steps:
      1. Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
      2. On the Processes tab in Task Manager, click the explorer.exe process, and then click End Process two times.
      3. On the File menu, click New Tasks (Run), type explorer, and then click OK.
      4. Exit Task Manager.

    It is easy to bring back the volume icon in task bar , just follow the below steps so that you will find the solution .

    => In the task bar press the right click of mouse

    => Select the properties option

    => A new window will be opened in that Select " Taskbar " option in that you will show notification area and also " Customize " button .

    => Press the customize button .

    => You will show all the icons in that select those icons which you want ot display on task bar bu just selecting " Show icon and notification " .

    => After selecting the icons press " OK " .

    Your selected icons will be displayed on the task bar .

    The Icon may be Hidden In the computer.

    So Click on the on the taskbar(Right click of the mouse).

    Then Tap on the property>Customize.

    here you can Turn on the Icon (Volume icon).

    To add the Volume icon to the notification area of your computer, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start
    2. Then click Run.

    3. Copy and paste or type the command :- mmsys.cpl in the Open box
    4. Then click OK:
    5. Click to select the Place volume icon in the taskbar check box.
    6. Click OK.
    7. If the Volume icon is displayed in the notification area of your computer, you are finished. If you cannot add the Volume icon or if you receive an error message when you try to add it, the Sndvol32.exe file might be damaged or missing

    " HERE IS SOLUTION "

    1) FIRST you may need to go your taskbar here please make a right click !

    2) now the option arise that customize taskbar

    3) Select it and now see the volume icon

    4) here click on it and set it on " apper with icon and notification " and now click on the apply option /

    5) now the process is over /

    Hello Dear Dude ..


    Kindly follow the below process


    First of all go to the start menu

    Then go to the Settings

    After that enter in to the Control Panel

    Then Go to the Sound & Audio Device icon


    In the volume option Select that







    Then Select it and Place it in the Toolbar option

    That is it

    Click OK

    Hello friend,


    I have the solution for your problem just do as i say.......

    1.Firstly make a right click on the Taskbar.

    2.Then you click on the option 'Properties'.

    3.Then a new dialog box will appear.

    4.Then you click on the option 'Customize'.

    5.Then you click on the option 'Volume'.

    6.There you set the option as 'Always Show'.

    7.At last you click 'OK', 'Apply' and then 'OK'.

    That's it by doing as i said you can solve your problem.

    Dear Sir .....

    I will solve your problem into easy steps .....

    So first of all go and turn on your device and then just go to the home screen and then just click on to the Start tab..And then click on to the Run....Now just copy and paste or type the following command in the open box, and then click OK:mmsys.cpl...After that just click to select the Place volume icon in the taskbar check box...Now at the end just click on to the OK...ALL Done ....

    .............................After clicking you will get the Task Manager window.

    .............................Under the Applications tab you will see the currently running app.

    ..........................Select app that you want to pin in taskbar, and right click on it.

    ...........................Now click on Go to process.

    ..........................After clicking you will take on to process tab.

    ..........................Now click on End process button.

    .........................After clicking the selected application will be attached in taskbar

    It is very easy to get the volume icon again on the taskbar
    To get back the volume icon follow these simple steps

    • Go to the home screen
    • Then locate the task bar and
    • Then right click on the task bar
    • Now select the properties option
    • Then choose the Notification Area
    • Then check the check box next to Volume
    • Now tap on ok
    • Then restart your compute to apply the changes that you are made in your taskbar.

    dear friend please use as the following to solve your problem ..........

    this is the not a bog problem .......

    you can bring the volume icon at the back simply by right click at the task bar

    after that select the properties .

    there you select the notification area tab and check the check box next to volume .

    at the last you click on the OK option and the reset your computer .

    after this process your problem will be solved.......

    Now select personalize option..

    Now you can see left below one option is there Task bar and Start menu click on it...

    Now one new window will open...

    In that window select Task bar...

    Then click customize option and now you can select that volume icon...

    Now click on Turn on or Turn off icons option below...

    Now it's showing...

    In order to add the Volume Icon again , you need to take the following simple steps :

    => Right click on taskbar and select Properties


    => Now properties window will appears. There click on the Customize button.


    => Now in the window that opens in front of you select "Show icon and notifications" option in the action box in front of the Volume icon.

    => Finally Click on OK to confirm the changes.

    Hi dear,
    follow these steps to get back lost icon....

    Click on start
    Right click on My Computer.
    Select Properties.
    Select the Hardware Tab.
    Click Device Manager.

    Expand Sound, video and game controllers
    You will find an unidentified device.
    Right click on it and select Update Drivers.

    Choose the first option which automatically download the drivers from the internet..

    If your sound controlling icon is disappeared then it must be disabled so to enable it you should perform these steps :-
    1. Open Control Panel
    2. now open the option " Notifications are icons"
    3. In front volume icon open the dialogue box
    4. before it would hide icons and notifications
    5. change it to show icons and notifications

    hiii..
    simply bring the volume button back by following thse steps-
    click the "up" and select "customize".
    A window will open up showing what to notify and what to hide.
    Look for the volume button and select "show icon and notifications" from the drop down menu.
    And select apply and "ok"
    And Done!!
