Not getting the anytime upgrade option in Windows 7 Ultimate right after upgrading it from Professional

I recently upgraded my Windows 7 Ultimate to Professional and right after that I am not getting the anytime upgrade/push upgrades from Windows option at all. Why this is happening? Not even getting any notification about the upgrades available from Microsoft. Is it a problem with Ultimate version or did something went wrong in the upgrade? How to make sure I will get the notification for the upgrade?

You should have to wait for 1week for updates if the updates are not come then either you have your windows up to date or the more updates are not available. In this case you can update your windows 7 from microsoft official site , they will provide you updates regarding every aspect.

    Hi,
anytime upgrade has a number of statuses depending on the versions of windows.
like it may or may not work with a few versions , volume licensed versions doesn`t have it altogather. anyway i`m giving you a way which you can try,

If you have Administrator access to the machine, click Start, type: gpedit.msc then press Enter.

    Expand "User Configuration".

    Expand "Administrative Templates".

    Expand "Windows Components".

    Click "Windows Anytime Upgrade".

Double click "Prevent Windows Anytime Upgrade from running".

Select "Enabled", Click "Apply" and "OK"

Restart the machine and then you should be able to do an Anytime Upgrade.

    Hope this will work.
    Thank you.

    Hey friend ,
Dont worry there is nothing went wrong this is happening only because your automatic upgrade check is off.

To turn auto check of system upgrade you have to follow these simple steps:-
    -First go to start.
    -then go to control panel
-now go to system and security
    -now go to Windows update
-there choose how Windows can install Updates.
-In this you can Choose to either get notification OR Automatically update windows without asking for permissions.

I think this will solve your problem.
    Thank You
