"Open with" option disappeared in windows vista

Generally when you right click on any file type, you get an option "Open with" in your context menu. It was present in my windows vista as well but somehow,it is not appearing now. I have clened the registry with CCleaner but can't fix this issue? What should I do?

First of all make sure that you are not right clicking on shortcuts or files with extensions .cmd, .bat, .pif, .scf, .exe, .com, or .scr. If you have really lost the "Open with" option then follow the below given steps to fix your issue:
    • First of all Open Notepad in your computer.
    • Copy the below given code and paste it on the notepad without altering or modifying it:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Op en With]
    • Once done, save the notepad as "OpenWith.reg" without the quotation mark and click on "Ok" button.
    • Now double click on "OpenWith.reg" file(you just created in above step) and click on Continue>>Yes>>Ok.
    • It will fix your issue. Never use any registry cleaner to clean your registry because it can delete some important registry file which will damage your OS.

Click Start, All Programs, Accesories, Notepad.

    2. Copy and paste this text:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Op en With]

    3. Click File, Save As, name the file "OpenWith.reg" (WITH THE QUOTATION MARKS) and click OK.

    4. Now double-click OpenWith.reg, click Continue, Yes, OK, and see if the problem is solved.
