First of all the option named ‘Properties’ has to be selected by right tapping on the desktop screen. Now a Display Properties dialog box will be shown where you need to hit on the desktop tab. Next the option with label ‘Customize Desktop’ has to be chosen. Tap on the icon you wish to change General tab and hit on ‘Change Icon’ option. Select the location where the icon is saved by browsing through the folders. Select the ‘Thumbnails’ option by hitting on View Menu button. You can select the desired one from the location and hit on ‘ok’ three times.

To change the look of the shortcut icon:

    1. Open My Computer

    2. Browse to the folder that you want.

    3. Right-click the folder,

    4. click Properties,

    5. Then click Change Icon.

    6. click OK, and then click OK.

    If No Icons Available

    1. If you click Change Icon, and there are no icons available

    2. Then use the Browse button to find Shell32.dll:

    3. Click Properties, and then click Change Icon.

    4. Click Browse, type %systemroot%\system32\shell32.dll in the File name box, click Open, click the icon you want to use, click OK, and then click OK.
