Is it possible to disable the security centre alerts for Windows update?

I am currently using windows vista as the operating system of my computer. Whenever I try to update the Windows, security center alerts pops up on the screen. I want to turn OFF the security center pop up for Windows update and UAC. How will I possibly implement this on my device?
