You can install both the OS in your computer by choosing different drives for the OS to install and also we can use both OS at the same time for suppose if installed windows vista in your C drive then you choose D drive or any other drive to install windows 7 in your system.and when you turn on the system there it displays the options whether to run with windows vista or 7.this is the procedure to do it and to make it possible.

    Hello,
1)Yes it is possible to install 2 OS in the same computer.
2)But for that you will have to make another drive for the Windows 7 OS.
3)The procedure is just the same but the only thing which you have to do is to select the different drive in which you want to install your OS.

(NOTE:You cannot install 2 Operating systems in a single drive)
4)When you start the computer after installing 2 Operating system the windows will ask you which OS you want to use.

    Regards
    -Abhishek

    • Yes Windows support installing two operating systems in a hard disk.
    • To install two operating systems first install 1st operating system.
    • Then install 2ndoperating system.
    • But it is not possible to install two operating systems at a drive.
    • So select different partition for second operating system.
    • Remaining procedure is same.
    • All the best

    Hello my friend,

It would not be a good idea to install windows 7 and vista as dual boot.
Because they have similar interfaces and designs,if you want to try vista then you can try it in virtual machine also.
but if you insist on installing vista as dual boot.
then make sure that you have installed vista in a different drive other than windows 7.
otherwise you won't be able to boot windows VISTA.

    ALL THE BEST.

It is possible but useless.because win 7 and win vista are more similar and its not a great idea to do that if you want vista for a specific reason then try using virtual machine VM ware is a good tool!!

Yes, you can have both the OS in same PC. The only difference would be , you have to make separate drives for these OS.
FOr instance if you have , Vista in C drive , then make a separate partition for Windows 7 , say E, then you can insert CD in CD player , then restart your PC , now boot with CD by pressing F8 key.
Then you can follow Screen Wizard for installation .
BUt at the time of starting PC, you can use only one OS at a time .

    Yes,

It is possible to do a dual boot between windows vista and windows 7

    Remember few points :-

Do not install OS in same partition

make different partitions for different OS with minimum space they require for installation

you need different drivers for different OS

After installing both the OS you can boot to anyone as your wish

    THANKS!!

    Dear friend,

Yes, it is possible of Dual Boot between Windows 7 and Windows Vista.

Firstly, install both OS on your PC.

Now, during booting you will get option to boot from which OS.

One option will be Vista and other will be Windows 7.

But you will have to note one thing that Windows 7 must be installed in that drive in which Windows Vista is not installed.

Otherwise it will delete Windows Vista and install Windows 7 by formatting C: Drive.

Re: Is it possible to do a dual boot between Windows Vista and Windows 7? How to do it?

Of course it is possible to dual boot!

Follow these steps to resolve your issue,

1:First of all place your windows 7 dvd into your dvd drive

2:Now run the disc from the drive

3:Open the dvd and then double click on the set up file

    4:Then installation process will begun

5:Now during installation, it will ask you to set the destination of the operating system

6:At that time, select another local disk drive that doesn't contain your windows vista

7:Follow the instruction and accomplish the installation process

8:Now during booting system will ask either windows vista or windows 7 to boot up

    9:Select your desired

    That's it over!
