Is it possible to downgrade an OS on Windows based Toshiba laptop?

After I have done an upgrade of OS on my Windows based Toshiba laptop, I am facing a lot of issues on my system. I wish to downgrade to the previous OS to see if it solves the issue. Is it possible to do so?

    Hi.
Follow these steps to downgrade to a previous version of Windows software:
    >>Obtain genuine Windows media and a corresponding product key for the version of Windows that is eligible for downgrade.
    >The media should come from a prior legally licensed version from the OEM or retail channels.
    >End users who are licensed separately through Microsoft Volume Licensing (VL) may provide their VL media and key to a system builder to facilitate the downgrade on their own systems.
    >>Insert the downgrade-eligible version of Windows media in the CD drive and follow the installation instructions.
    >>Type the product key.
    >If the software was previously activated, you will not be able to activate it online. In this case, the appropriate local Activation Support phone number will be displayed. Call the number and explain the circumstances. When it is determined that the end user has an eligible Windows license, the customer service representative will provide a single-use activation code to activate the software. Please note that Microsoft does not provide a full product key in this scenario.
    >>Activate the software.

    Thank you.

What you have informed for getting support regarding downgrade is almost nothing.

no information about the laptop, and nothing about Operating System except you are having Windows as operating system.

Only these information is not sufficient to tell you what the possibilities are.

Like you said you have upgraded, but from which Windows version to which version?

If you have upgraded to Windows 8, which version, as there are several of them. downgrade means what ? Which version you need to get back to? Windows 7, Vista or XP?

Some of the things are possible and the rest are not. I`d suggest, either datail everything for a solution, or take backup of every documents, files, data and contacts, then Clean Install whichever Windows version you are interseted in. Provided you have Original Windows Installer Disk with you, alongwith the product key.

    Take your decision.
