    Is it possible to increase the size of the Command prompt and the number of lines it shows? How to do it in the Windows system?

    I use command prompt most of the time in my Windows system and whenever I try to scroll up the commands to refer which I use to execute before vanishes as the size is very less, is it possible to increase the size of the command prompt or the lines in the prompt? How to do it?

    Yes, it is possible to the size of the command prompt and the number of lines which is present in the prompt screen, just follow the simple steps given below.

    STEP 1: Open Command prompt from start menu or press Windows key + R and type cmd, press Enter.
    STEP 2: Right Click on its title bar and Select Properties.
    STEP 3: Select the Layout tab.
    STEP 4: Change the Height parameter under Screen Buffer Size group to the number of lines you want to have the DOS box.
    STEP 5: If you want to change the window size then you can do it too by changing the width and height respectively.

    yes ,you can easily change the size of command prompt window

    Steps are :

    Open the command prompt from start menu or type cmd in run and then enetr
    Right click on the title bar,select properties,
    There will be a tab name "Layout" under this tab there are options 1.screen buffer size 2 window size 3 window position

    you can easily change the screen buffer size or window size (both having width and height which can be changed ) by changing the height and width values.

    Dear,

    Yes, It is possible to increase the siZe by typing the cmd and then press enter, then you have to right click on the title bar, select the properties and then select the Layout then click on Screen size. and then click on Ok button. By this way you can change the size of the of the window.

    yes, it's possible to increase the size of the command prompt & the number of lines it shows..
    click on start button
    search "cmd"
    when cmd open Right Click on its title bar and Select Properties
    now change the value that u want.....

    Friend, you can change Size of the Command Prompt and the number of lines it shows by following these Steps:

    STEP 1: Click "Start" Button and type "cmd" in the Search box and hit Enter.

    STEP 2: Command Prompt Windows Opens. Right Click on top of it and Select "Properties".

    STEP 3: Click on the "Layout" Tab.

    STEP 4: Change the Values in the Height and Width Fields in "Size" Section, in order to increase or decrease the number of lines in the Command Prompt.

    To changing the size of the comand prompt then use this way for solving your problem.
    use searching option (press window key + R)
    Type "cmd" in searching option Click "OK".
    Then it will open cmd right click on the cmd . And then choose "properties". After this it will open a tab box .
    There is two tab is useful for you first "Options" for curser size. Then third tab "Layout" for command prompt size.
    choose your need size then click "Ok".
    It will solve your problem.

    You can increase the buffer size and also the window size of the command prompt in your windows system.
    In order to do so run cmd.exe from search,
    Then right click on the title bar and click properties.
    then from the window click the layout tab and
    increase the buffer and the window size height and width as u desire.
    then click apply to save the changes that you made.

    yes it is possible you can increase size of the command prompt and number of lines if you want to increase the command size following these steps.
    1.open start button.
    2.search command prompt also known as cmd.
    3.next right click on the that .
    4.now select properties.
    5.here you can increse the size command prompt....
