Yes, it is possible to merge the Google Chrome browser in Windows 8 screen all you have to do is a little setting change, just follow the steps given below,
STEP 1: Download the latest Google Chrome browser from the dev channel CLICK HERE!!
STEP 2: Once it gets installed it won’t be coming in the Metro UI screen, for that you have to change the Google Chrome browser as your system's default browser.
STEP 3: To make the browser as default, open the browser -> Click the wrench icon in the top left -> Select Settings -> Scroll down to see the making Google browser as the default and select it.
STEP 4: Now check in your Metro screen for the Chrome icon merged as tiles if you still can’t find it then follow the next step.
STEP 5: Go to Control Panel->Programs-> Default Programs-> Set your Default programs.
STEP 6: Now in the list select Google Chrome browser and select it as the default program.
Now you will be able to see the Chrome icon in the Metro screen and you can run it as the Metro app in Windows 8 OS.
