You can update the OS forcibly by the following method

1.First connect your mobile to the PC, then it automatically run Zune
2.Then go to its settings and select update
    3.Then follow the instructions

Be careful while updating the software

Your phones battery must be more than 50%
Do not shut down during the process
The process may take long time

Yes, of course, you can. It's possible to update your Windows 7 phone to Windows 7.5 version of operating system. If you want to do this then follow the steps given below:

    1. Connect your mobile phone with PC.

    2. Install Zune Software in your phone. (If you want to update your OS forcefully then you have to install this software first in your mobile.)

    3. Now, Go to the official site of your phone.

    4. Click on settings and choose update OS option.

But for this you have to pay some charges and also be alert that your phone's battery should charged properly and it will not be turned off before proper updation.

I wish, this will help you a lot. All the very best.
