The reason may be you don't have the latest driver installed in the system and that is the reason you have the problem in surfing internet through WIfi.

To upgrade the WiFi driver follow the steps below:-

    1) Click on "Start" button type "Device manager" in the list of all the hardware select the "Network adapter".

    2) Under "Network adapter" select the installed hardware and right click on it.

    3) Select upgrade the driver.

After upgrading the driver you will be able to surf again.

    1. Right-click on the network status icon in the system tray, and select Connect to a network.

    2. Select the network you would like to connect to, and click Connect

    3. Once the connection is complete, Vista will let you know that it has successfully connected to the network, and you can click Close to exit the connection window

    Hello,
There may be two problems that may be present.
    1. The WLAN driver will not be present.
So First check if your WLAN driver is installed correctly. If not installed, install the WLAN driver and try accessing the internet again.

    2. The Wi-Fi connection will have a proxy setting.
If the Wi-Fi connection is having proxy then you need to set the proxy.
Open Network And Sharing Center then click on Internet Options (It will be there in left hand corner of screen).
Then click on Connections tab then click on LAN Settings. A dialog box will appear set the proxy and port address.
Then try accessing the Internet again.

    Regards...
