Problem while creating System restore in Windows Vista

I am unable to create system restore for my windows vista pc due to getting an error code 80043230F. I tried many ways to recover this issue but getting this code with message Shadow copy provider had an unexpected error. Can anyone tell me the reason for getting this message with resolution too. Help!!

Re: Problem while creating System restore in Windows Vista

It is possible that volume shadow copy service is not started on your system So, check it first to fix this issue, follow the procedure:

    > Click on start button and go to search box
    > Type services.msc in box and hit enter
    > Now, navigate to service Volume shadow copy
    > Do right click on it and then click on start
    > Restart your system and try to create system restore again onn your PC

If issue still persisting then run system file checker tool and again check the issue. It should be resolved now.

This problem may occur if the volume shadow copy service was not started. To make that start follow these steps

    • Go to the start button and click on it
    • Then type services.msc in the search and press enter
    • Then navigate to service Volume shadow copy
    • Then right click on it and select the start option
    • Now restart your computer and then try to crate the system restore
If this does not solve your problem then run the System File Checker. To do that follow these steps

    • Go to the start button and click on it
    • Then open Run and then type sfc\scan now in the Run Command
    • Then press enter
    • It will start the scan process and will restore or repair the system files
    • then try to create the system restore
