    Problem in windows 8 wireless connectivity

    I was running Windows 7 and it was fine. But when I 'upgraded to Windows 8 Consumer Preview and had no problems at all. But after I installed Windows 8 Release Preview ,I started facing cant problems connecting and maintaining the connection to my wireless router/modem.

    the drivers that installed in your windows 7 may be reconfigured to the windows 8 default.
    First try to connect using the lan.
    and update your system drivers and also the OS.
    Once you have updated the drivers then you will be automatically connect to the internet.

    HI,

    Follow the simple steps to resolve the problem in windows 8 connectivity -

    1)You need to click on "Start button" and after that type device manager in the start search and then expand the network adapters in device manager and then right click on network adapter and click on Properties.

    2)In properties window click on driver tab and after that click on Update Drivers and finally click on OK.

    3)If you still having connectivity problem in Windows 8 then you need to reinstall Windows 8 wireless drivers and card adapters. You need to install latest drivers from manufacturer's website and then verify the driver's status.

    This is how problem will be solved..

    Follow these steps:

    1. Update the router's firmware to latest, then after, reset it to factory defaults. Then, change the channel to a different one than it is currently set at.

    2. Install the lan and wireless drivers from here: ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows

    3.If the wireless is Intel, install the latest driver from their site instead.

    4. Uninstall any 3rd party security suite or firewall, if installed. Best to do in safe mode with the special tool for the specific product.

    5. If not using Homegroup to share, disable IPv6 for the wireless adapter and also disable the IP Helper service.
