Procedures required for disabling taskbar preview window pop ups on Windows 7

When place the cursor on an item on taskbar in my PC upgraded to Windows 7, I can view a preview window pop up on the screen. I don’t want popping up anything while doing so. What has to be done for turning off this feature?

You can prevent this pop up by setting up the hover time to a long value. Bring up the start menu by clicking the ‘Start’ button and select the ‘Run’ option. A field will appear on the screen afterwards into which type in regedit. After that, press the ‘OK’ button for launching the Registry Editor. Once you can view the ‘Registry Editor’ window, navigate into HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Advanced from the left pane. Then, right click on the right pane and set a DWORD value for ExtendedUIHoverTime. It is better to set up the value to 20000.
