Purchased a genuine windows 7 DVD but it still shows “This copy of windows is not Genuine”

I have recently purchased a windows 7 DVD after paying Rs 7000 and installed in my laptop. It worked fine for one week but now the screen is black with a message “This copy of windows is not Genuine” at the right lower corner.Sometimes , it also shows “you may be the victim of software piracy”. What should I do to resolve this issue?

    Hiiiiii
this problem usually when you have downloaded the windows updates but this problem should not arrise as you have said you have purchased genuine try this out
If Windows7 shows error message even after activation, you can resolve it by disabling the plug and play policy. To do this, go to start, run and type rsop.msc and click enter. Then go to computer configuration/ policies / Windows settings /security settings / system services /. Then disable the group policy settings and try to reapply the group policy. After this the computer might ask you for a restart. This will fix almost all issues related to this. If you are not aware of the process, it is better to contact Microsoft to fix this issue.
    Thank and regards

    dear friend,

If you are watching these kind of error messages then you are definitely using a pirated copy of windows 7.

I'd like to ask you that from where you've bought the DVD.

There are many online stores which sells windows OS with fake activation key.

Check your product key - Is it like xxxxx-221-xxxxxxx-xxxxx !

If yes then you are surely victim of software piracy.

You are using a MSDN product & '221' this number is the MSDN indicator.

Actually these type of keys are not the genuine key - but MSDN key pass the OS by making it genuine temporarily.

It takes some time - but if you connect to the internet after it, Microsoft immediately blocks the counterfeit key & this process you can't avoid.

After the checking, Microsoft declare this OS as non-subscriber & the user can see this kind of message.

If you have purchased VAT bill with you then you may return this OS from where you've bought it - but remember, you must return it.

If they offer a new product key then don't accept it, because you can face the same problem after some days.

If they don't take it back, then you may complaint to consumer forum.

Always try to buy any software from its developer website.

Hope these guidelines will help you a lot.

    hii

Since you said you have purchased the original windows 7 DVD hence , you can easily reactivate your windows by following these steps :

    - Firstly click on start button
    - Open run or search box
    - Type in slui.exe 3 and press enter
    - You will be prompted with a window asking for your windows product key ...Enter the product key there ..
    - After entering the product key click next
    - At last you will be prompted by asking whether you want to activate .. click ok there ...

Restart your computer and its all done now ...There will be no error that you were having before ...
    thanks

The problem here is possibly a corrupted Licensing Store - until it's fixed not activation can be successful..
    Recreate the Licensing Store
    1) Click Start button.
    2) Type: CMD.exe into the 'Search programs and files' field
    3) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select Run as Administrator
    4) Type: net stop sppsvc (It may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
Note: the Software Protection service may not be running, this is ok.
    5) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Ro aming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
    6) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
    7) Type: cd %windir%\system32
    8) Type: net start sppsvc
    9) Type: slui.exe
    10) After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear. You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key or Activation may occur automatically.

You may have to use telephone activation.
