Right Click menu turns to black on Windows 7

I am using HP Pavilion dv6 laptop running on Windows 7 since last month. I can’t find any issues with the right click menu till yesterday. Now when I right click on any item, the pop-up menu appears to be blacked out on the screen. How can I restore it to normal mode?

Make a single press on the ‘Start’ button and right click on ‘Computer’ in the start button. A menu will pop up on the screen from which select ‘Properties’ option. The next step required is to click on ‘Advanced System Settings’ option. Press the ‘Advanced’ tab located at the top part of the windows pop up on the screen. Go to ‘Performance’ section and click on ‘Settings’ option. Locate ‘Fade or Slide Menus into View’ option under ‘Custom’ label and click the checkbox next to it. Click on both ‘Apply’ and ‘OK’ buttons afterwards and open up the right click menu again to check for the issue.
