Samsung galaxy S3 shows up as unrecognized device in Windows 8 desktop

I don’t have a touch laptop and I have been trying the Windows 8 preview on my system before I upgrade. Now the problem is that my Samsung Galaxy S3 is showing up as a unrecognized device when I connect it over USB. Is anybody else having the same problem?

Yes as it is an Android device you have to install the Suite that has come along with the applications exists in the box.
So you need to go for the Extension of the process which you need to install in the system.
There you can have all the files in your system and also you can directly browse the system files.
You can easily install those files with your system and have lots of fun.

Usually the Windows newer versions are developed in a way by which they can autodetect attached devices.

There is no point why Windows should consider your Samsung S3 as unidentified device.

In any case, take a couple of measures which shold bring a solution to your problem.

You have a CD that came along your phone, the CD contains software which helps windows interact to different Operating System, like your phones Android System. Install that software into windows.
    Is any difference observed ?
Next do this, click START--CONTROL PANEL--SYSTEM AND SECURITY--DEVICE MANAGER--UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLER--DRIVER--UPDATE DRIVER, follow the prompt and install the latest driver for USB in windows. Now connect the phone and things should be normal.
