Sandisk Memory card is not recognised in Windows 7 Professional

I connected card reader with Sandisk Memory card to Windows 7 System. It cannot be seen in the system and it is not recognised. I restarted the system, but could not solve the problem. What caused the problem? What might be the reason? Please, help me!

Re: Sandisk Memory card is not recognised in Windows 7 Professional

    Hi,

There can be a number of reasons behind the memory card refusal.

    1. the memory card can be a defective one, check it in other computer to confirm.
    2. the card reader can have issues, verify with other memory card inserted in it.
    3. the computer slot that is used to insert the card reader can have problem, check it.
    4. the USB driver installed in the Windows may have trouble and fails to perform.
installNew Device Driver for USB ports to solve the issue.
Start>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Device Manager>UniversalSerialBus Controller>Driver>Uninstall, then Update Driver and a new driver will be fetched by the Windows and installed in your computer, provided internet connectivity is established.

    Thanks.

If only one particular memory card is not getting detected, then you may try to insert it in another slot and check.

Check if you can see the memory card in disk management.

    To open disk management:
Click on start and then type in “diskmgmt.msc” (without quotes) and press enter.

If you can see the memory card as a drive in disk management, then try to format it from there.

If that doesn’t help, then follow these steps to update the drivers for your card reader:
    1. Plug in the card reader. Go to START menu and select “Control Panel”.
    2. Click on “Hardware and Sound”.
    3. Click on “Device Manager”.
    4. Find and double click on “eHome Infrared Receiver (USBCIR)”.
    5. Go to Driver tab.
    6. Click on “Update Driver”.
    7. Click on “Browse my computer for driver software”.
    8. Click on “Let me pick from a list..”, no need to select a location.
    9. Select “USB Composite Device” and press Next button. Windows 7 will install the driver automatically.

    Dear friend,

There is a problem with your memory card reader. You can check it after using it with other USB ports. In this problem only the USB icon is shown in Windows Explorer and there is no name of memory card. In this case you should replace the memory card reader with a new one. Also, check the memory card with your mobile phone whether it is locked with password or not. If password protected memory card is also not shown in the Windows Explorer. To solve your problem, unlock the card through the mobile or the device you have used to lock the card before plugging it in.

    Thanks!

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say...........

1.Firstly check that your memory card is working or not.

2.You can check it by connecting it to the another system.

3.If that is not the problem of the memory card check the USB slot.

4.If there is no problem with the slot too then the problem is with the USB drivers.

5.So you try to update the USB drivers.

I hope by doing as i said you can solve your problem.

    Have a nice day.............

    Hi, Friend

First of all check Whether the Card reader device and Memory card working properly or not

and also check whether the USB port working properly or not

and after that go to start menu and open run or press windows key+R

then type sysdm.cpl and click OK

and after that tap on Hardware tab ...and click on Device Installation settings button

and then select yes,Do this automatically( Recommended ) option and click Save Changes button

and now re-connect and check if it helps .

and again if you are unable to solve the issue ....simply go to Device manager

and then update USB drivers ....and check again

    ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!
