Screen resolution changes automatically in windows 7

I have installed windows 7 Home Premium in my Dell Inspiron n4030 laptop just few weeks ago.I have changed the screen resolution on various occasions but it automatically changes its resolution to lower value.Windows also disable the aero feature as well.However on fresh restart,everything works fine.I have never faced any such issue in windows vista.What should i do here to fix this issue?

You can fix this issue by making few changes in the registry. Please note that registry is a very sensitive part of an OS. Any wrong step can make your OS useless so don't forget to take a backup of your registry before doing anything.press "Windows Key+R",type "regedit" in the run command box and hit the enter button on your keyboard. It will open the registry editor. Now expand "HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG " key.Once done, navigate to "System > CurrentControlSet > Control > VIDEO".You would be able to see a key having random numbers. Example of such key is "{F92BFB9B-59E9-4B65-8AA3-D004C26BA193}".On expanding this key,you will see another key named "0000". Simply click on "000" to check their values.We are looking for the one which has multiple values in it.Once found,make sure that the values are same for both keys.In order to change the value of registry key,right click on the name of value and click "Modify".Input the numerical value of your coice in "Value data:text field" where it shows "Base" select and Decimal Option.You need to change the following settings:
Attach.RelativeX - Normally 1024
Attach.RelativeY - Normally 768
DefaultSettings.XResolution - Normally 1024
DefaultSettings.YResolution - Normally 768
Once done,close the registry editor and enjoy.If you are still facing any issue then perform a clean boot.The steps for the same is given below:

1. Click on "Start" button and type "msconfig" in the search box and hit enter button on keyboard. It can ask for Administrator password so don't hesitate to provide the same.Now a different windows will appear before you.
2. Click on "General Tab" and then on "Selective Startup". Now uncheck the "Load Startup Items" check box.
3. After that click on "Services" tab and check the check box which has the option "Hide All Microsoft Services". Once checked that option, click on "Disable All" button and click on "Ok" button.After completing all the above mentioned steps, restart your computer to reflect these changes.
4. Once done,don't forget to bring your computer back to the normal Mode.

Reason for this problem is due to the failure of video drivers on your system.
To solve this issue

Go to Device manager.
expand Display Drivers.
Uninstall the video drivers from your system.

Now restart your system.

Download new updated video drivers from internet, and install it.
Once installation is over, restart your system.

by doing this your problem will be solved.

1.This may be the problem of the virus.

2.So you install the antivirus software and scan your system.

3.If that is not your problem then your problem may be with the drivers.

4.So you try to update the present drivers.

5.Still if you have the problem just try to repair your OS files.

just follow these steps:
->right click on "My Computer".
->then select "manage" option.
->under this, select "Device Manager" tab.
->then right click on "Display Device" and uninstall it.
->then refresh the page and it will automatically install that driver.
->then to change your resolutions.

The output resolution is generally depends on the Video file


The lower the resolution ... so it will be on the HDTV


The Same applies for a High definition video where in the resolution will be good

After this please open the system restore option and click to restore your system,

Then please wait for fully restore your system and after this restart your system,

I have Faced This problem and after long struggle I have solved it .

Cause of Problem :-

The main Cause of This Problem is the programs that run at startup of your computer creates problem . One of the programs that run at Startup is set to run in different resolution than the resolution of your computer . Therefore When this program runs at Startup this program is set to run in different resolution so This program changes the resolution of your computer screen as required by this program

How To Detect Which Program is creating Problem :-

To Detect which program that's running at start is creating problem . you can follow these steps :-

DETECT AND FIX PROBLEM

1. Press windowskey + r . It shows run Dialog Box
2. Typein "msconfig" and Hit Enter
3. click on Startup Tab
4. Uncheck all programs to run at startup
5. click ok

Now No Program will run at startup . Now Restart your PC . NOW there is no resolution problem .

To Fix it permanentally :-

* Again goto msconfig ----> then startup Tab
* Then one by one check one program and restart program to see if this program is creating problem or not
* Repeat this for all program
* Main this problem occur for Antivirus
