Scroll bar moves by itself on Windows 7 laptop

I am currently using Dell laptop running on Windows 7. The scroll bar in most of the applications tends to scroll down automatically on the system. I can’t place the bar in a particular position by clicking on it. How to fix this problem?

Uninstall the mouse drivers from the system and install them again. At first, make a single click on ‘Start’ button and wait until you can view the start menu. Navigate through that menu and locate the search field. Then, you need to type Device Manager into that field and press the ‘Enter’ key. The next step required is to click the plus sign near ‘Mouse’ option. You can then find the drivers for mouse. Right click on them and click the ‘Uninstall’ option from the pop-up menu. Restart the system afterwards so that the drivers will be re-installed automatically.

    Hello friend..

Firstly you need to check the mouse settings:-

Open the Control Panel then click the Mouse.

Click the Pointer Options then check the Enhance Pointer Precision.

You may also try to update the drivers for mouse by following the steps:

Click the Start button, click the Control Panel.

Clicking System and Maintenance and then clicking Device Manager.*

Open the Device Manager, locate the device you want to update, and then double-click the device name.

Click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver and follow the instructions.

    All the Best!!

This Problem is due to the following reasons:

    1) Corrupt software driver or outdated or incompatible Driver..

    Solution- > Click Start.
    > Type Device Manager in Search Box and hit Enter.
    > Now extend mouse and other pointing devices option in list and right click on your device and click Uninstall.
    > Now click action tab and select Scan for hardware changes.. Windows will automatically install the driver.
    > If the problem persist then again right click on the device driver and select Update Driver software.
    > Now click Search automatically
for updated driver software to update it through internet.

    2) Hardware Issue- sometime this is due to faulty hardware problem. for this you need to call customer care if your system is under warranty they will replace it.

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say....................

1.Firstly i want to say you to check that your Mouse is working finely nor not.

2.You also check the cable of your Mouse.

3.You also check that the Pin of your computer is fine.

4.If there is no problem with the above three cases then...

5.This may be the problem of your Mouse drivers.

6.So you try to uninstall them and re-install them.

I hope this information is helpful to you to solve your problem.
