"Server execution failed" error in windows 7 Media Player

I was facing some issues in my windows 7 computer which was solved after changing the RAM. However during memory diagnostics, i installed and uninstalled few programs. It has damaged my computer. Now windows media player won't play any file. Instead, it shows an error "Server execution failed". Do you know, what to do?

You should stop the windows media player Network sharing service immediately. Check it for issues. If you don't know how to do this, simply follow the below given procedure:

    • Click on start button and navigate to Control Panel>>Administrative Tools>>Services. Now find the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service.Open it and click on the stop option to stop this service.
    • Now type "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\" in windows explorer to find that folder.
    • Move all files to another safe place. It will reset the database.
    • Once done, restart windows media player and check whether you are able to add library now.
If it doesn't work for you then you can try the second method. Open command prompt with Admin privileges and type " net localgroup "Administrators" "NT Authority\Local Service" /add" command there. Once done, hit the enter button and restart your computer.
