    • First connect the TV signal cable to compatible TV tuner’s TV-IN jack
    • Then it should be connected to Windows media centre computer
    • Then go to ‘Tasks’ in the start screen
    • Then tap on the option ‘settings’
    • Then tap on the option ‘TV’
    • Then choose the option ‘Set up TV Signal’
    • Then follow the on screen instructions by tapping ‘next’ until it reaches ‘finish’

    To set up a TV signal :-
    =====================

    => Connect TV signal cable to TV-IN jack on a compatible TV tuner on Media Center

    => Now open Media center Start screen

    => Scroll down to tasks

    => Click on settings , then TV

    => Click on set up TV signal

    => Follow the instructions to set TV signal

    => In the window "TV signal detection result" click "Yes configure TV with these results" if you see your TV tuner

    => If not then make sure you have connected your TV tuner properly

    => Finally click on finish

    Hi,
    Firstly, you need a TV Tuner to insert a cable TV jack.
    You can use either the TV tuner software or the Windows Media Centre.
    Then,
    Open Windows Media Centre,
    Click on TV option
    Go to live tv(error will be shown if no tv tuner is present) and choose 'Setup TV'
    Follow the instructions to setup TV.
    Thank You.

    dear friend,

    You must have TV tuner card to set up a TV signal from a cable TV wall jack in windows media center.

    If you have multiple branches in your TV tuner card then you can view more than one channel at a time.

    Obviously it'll create noise issue-you can't distinguish the different sounds.

    But you can use this feature not to watch live TV but, to record different programs.

    You have to use cable splitter to use different channel signals.

    Follow the steps below to play TV in your computer via Windows media center.

    Connect the cable to the computer.

    Launch Windows media center.

    Go to the Start screen.

    Go to Tasks > Settings > TV > Set up a TV signal.

    Now it'll search for the signal.

    Wait for some time & when it finishes its job, select the channel you want to see.

    Hope these info will help you.
