Simplest way to add quick launch context menu in Windows XP professional?

I am using windows XP professional and I want to add quick launch adding option in taskbar please tell me simplest way to do it as I am unfamiliar from computers.

If your Quick Launch Bar is visible, the simplest way of adding new items there is drag-and-drop action. Just click a shortcut or a program you want to add to Quick Launch, drag it to the bar and drop there. Our Favorite Shortcuts software can be used to add any file to Quick Launch Bar as well.


To add your own shortcut to the Quick Launch Bar using Favorite Shortcuts you need:


download and install Favorite Shortcuts on your computer
right-click a file or a folder in Windows Explorer, and then select Add To Quick Launch in the context menu.

To add quick launch simplest way is
--> Click Start select program which you want to add on quick launch
--> Right click on program select Add to quick launch
Another method is
--> Add shortcut of program on desktop by Send that program to desktop
--> Then drag it to taskbar to add quick launch
These are the two simplest ways to add programs on taskbar quick launch.

Follow these steps:

1.Download AddToQuickLaunch.vbs from the ATTACHMENTS section of this article save it to permanent location.

2.Double-click on the AddToQuickLaunch.vbs and run it.

3.Type INSTALL and press ENTER.

4.Clicking ADD TO QUICK LAUNCH places a shortcut of the file in the quick launch folder.

Follow the given steps:


1. Click Start.


2. Select the program which you want to add on quick launch.


3. Right click on that program and select Add to quick launch option.


Shortcut Method:


1. Add Shortcut of that program on the desktop by just draging that program and drop to taskbar to quick launch or to desktop to add shortcut.

hi ......friend and im going to show how enble the quick launch on taskbar.........for this you need to do is



1. right click on thetask bar and select properties

2. in that options select show quick launch then click oK


then your quick launch is ready to use

AND if u want to add any additional icons to quick launch just follow me

1. again right click on task bar and unselect the lock taskbar

2. And then drag and leave on the quick launch whatever the icons to keep on the quick launch.

3. And after that again right click on the task bar and select the lock the taskbar
