first whether you have enabled Num lock on your system or not. because most of the users never check this and feel that user account is blocked.

If it is okay and you still face the problem, i shall suggest you to boot with Hirens BOOT CD (HBCD)
This CD will have lot of features to break windows password, like BIOS password, System Password, Admin Password..
you can even use this cd to repair your MBR too.
So download this CD and boot from it.
    happy to assist you

    Dear Dude ...

Kindly follow the below steps carefully

First of all login to a user that does not have administrative rights

Open up CMD in your Preferred method

Create a new user account for temporary use with the following command ...

    net user FixAccountIssueUser /add

Now log off your current user ... and then Login as new User

Delete the Temporary account to fix

So now you can log in with that account

    VERY GOOD LUCK

Hi Friend,>> The Problem is Windows XP is not recognizing the login details.>> First of all check that numlock and Caps lock is on or not.>> Then try to login into the system.>> It can be also possible that number of incorrect tries will confuse the system and if you provide correct user name and password then also it will not recognize.>> So wait for some time and then try to login.>> After some time you are able to login.I Hope you will understand. All The Best.

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say.............

1.Firstly check that any caps-lock or any other lock may be turned on.

2.Please check once more that the password which you gave is correct.

3.If you still do not remember type the wrong password for three times.

4.Later you press the key 'Ctrl+Alt+Delete'.

5.Then you click 'OK' and type the new User name and Password.

6.At last you click on the option 'OK'.

    Have a nice day................
