    dear friend,

You didn't mention that what kind of message you are watching when the softwares stop responding.

It seems like your windows 8 version is not fully upgraded.

If it is true then you must go for upgradation of your OS.

But if you are using pirated version then some software may not work for this reason.

Go to www.microsoft.com to update your OS (if it is genuine) against some charges.

Check that all of the drivers are installed or not-you must install all of the drivers available for your PC.

Also make sure that you are using the latest version of softwares.

Sometimes softwares of older version doesn't work in windows 8.

Re: Some softwares are not working properly in my Windows 8

Windows 8 is the advanced Version of Windows 7.

It is the latest version of OS from Microsoft.

So, most of the softwares available on the Internet may not be compatible with Windows 8.

However, Windows 8 is not launched now for public but its RTM Version has been launched on 5 August 2012.

Its Public Version will be released on 26 October 2012.

    hii

In your querry you have not mentioned that which softwares you are not able to use....
If you had given the details of the software then it would have been easier to tell why they are not opening or how you can use them correctly..

So , you should ask the question with the details of the softwares then it will be easier to tell about the matter..

    thanks

    HELLO GUEST...

I think you didn't install this copy of Window 8 in a proper way due to which this problem occurs.
Please purchase a new and genuine copy of Window 8 or updated from the Internet which will provide much better option after that and then later, you can use all software's and applications in your PC.
    Till then, Enjoy Dear.

    Have A great time.
    Good Night

Re: Some softwares are not working properly in my Windows 8

    DEAR::

To install Windows 8 Release Candidate on your PC, the processor (CPU) must support the following features: Physical Address Extension (PAE), NX, and SSE2. Most CPUs have support for these features, so if you receive this error, it is likely because the NX feature is not enabled on your system.

To resolve this error, follow manufacturer guidelines to enable NX (“No eXecute bit”), or the equivalent XD (“eXecute Disabled”), feature within the BIOS settings. This feature is typically found in the Advanced or Security tabs within the BIOS settings, and can be referred to by a variety of names, including but not limited to:
    · No Execute Memory Protect
    · Execute Disabled Memory Protection
    · EDB (Execute Disabled Bit)
    · EVP (Enhanced Virus Protection)

If the BIOS setting for the NX (XD, EDB, or EVP) support option is not available on your system, you may need to contact the manufacturer to update the BIOS. Note that some very old processors may not contain these features and will be incompatible with Windows 8 Release Candidate.

A whitepaper has been published with further details about the PAE/NX/SSE2 requirement for Windows 8, error cases and scenarios that customers encounter when machines fail to meet the requirement, and what to do to install Windows 8 on their PC’s.

If you are using a virtualization product to install a Windows 8 Release Candidate virtual machine (VM) and receive this error (or error 0xC0000260), you must enable PAE (or PAE/NX) in the virtualization product’s settings or configuration manager when setting up the Windows 8 virtual environment.

Note that if you tried to install Windows 8 on the VM hosted on a system running a previous version of Windows with NX disabled, you will need to enable NX on the system before PAE/NX can be enabled for the VM. Please follow the instructions described in the whitepaper under “How Do I know if My System Supports NX or SSE2?” and “If NX Is Supported on My System, How Do I Turn on NX?” to enable NX on the system.

    Hello ....

This may because of the following:

    1. It may be corrupted.

    2. The may be made for the 64 bit Windows

    3. It may use 32 bit version, and you may have 64 bit OS.

    4. May be your software supports only windows 7 not windows 8.

Make sure about the reason behind the trouble and then find for suitable solution.
