First of all check whether your connecting cables are working fine or not.If it is working fine then check your Device Manager and make sure that the HDMI output is set as Default device. If it is not set as Default device then follow the below given procedure:
    1. Open the Control Panel and navigate to Hardware and Sound>>Sound.
    2. Under Playback Tab,right click on blank space and then select both "Show Disabled devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices".
    3. It will display all disconnected and disabled devices.Find HDMI output and right click on it.Now click on "Properties" option which appears under "General" tab and click on "Device Usage".After that select "Use this Deviceenable)". Click on "Apply" and "Ok".
    4. Repeat the same for "Playback " Tab as well. Finally click on "HDMI Output" and set it as default.
    5. After doing everything, click on "Apply" and then "Ok".

    Hi friends,

I think this common problem of speakers not working in vist.
You must check the connection of speakers
You can re connection of speakers in to your system .
Then check the Realtech audio option.
You can check the properties of audio drivers.

    So your problem is solved.

    Thanks!!!

Re: Speakers stopped working in windows vista

after reading your problem i have few questions to you. Was your system a laptop or desktop ? if it is a laptop, did you use VLC player ? playing audio in VLC player with max volume may be a reason for this problem. To check your speakers on your laptop, connect external speakers to your laptop..if they are working then it is clear that your laptop speakers are not working and its time to replace them. If your system is desktop connect another speaker and check whether they are working. If they are working then you should understand that your speakers are not working. My dear friend, i think i have provided you enough solution to your problem. all the best

    =====================================

    Hi,

    See,such things do happen.
Hardware is meant to wear out with time.
The speaker is also a hardware device that consists of various components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors and transistors.
With time, these components tend to wear out!
I will suggest you to plug out the speaker cable from the system and then plug it again.
If is still doesn't work, then it means that there is some problem in the speaker itself.
You have no other option but to get a new one!
And make sure that this time you get a speaker of a good and renowned company such as Intex!

    Bye!

Several reasons can be responsible, for what you are experiencing currently relating speakers.

    1. Check the cable and the connectors after removing the connection from the computer.
    2. Attach the speakers to another computer to check the speakers condition.
    3. Go to Conyrol Panel--Hardware and Sound--Sound, and check various options from this options.
    4. Go to Control Panel--hardware and sound--device manager--sound.......--driver--update driver to install a fresh driver for sound and possibly solve the problem overhang.

check whether speakr are working or not
friend first you need to check all the connection
    remove and reconnect all connections

there might be some hardware problem

there might be problem with sound driver but as you are seeing notification so the problem may not be there
but still install the driver again or update the driver

    install driver
    and solve the problem.
