    hello . .

If Your Start button Is Not Responding then there might be a problem occurring with your service pack . .

just check out with which type of pack it is whether it is a service pack 2 or 3 . .

else there might be a problem occurred in your C Drive . .

just check out and see if there is a problem . .

then just format if there is a problem later it will be solved . . .!!

Check whether icons placed near Start Button are working or not. If they are not working that means your Taskbar is not responding.
This generally happens when Physical Memory of PC is low.
If the problem is same as I had mentioned above, then you will have to increase your RAM according to OS System Requirements. It may be different for different OS like Win Xp, Win 7, etc.

To fix the Start button, go to Start, run and type in regsvr32.exe jscript.dll then click OK. (You can do this from Classic View if that's the only thing that works)

For the other problems, try System File Checker.

Again in run type in sfc /scannow (note there is a space after sfc), then click OK. You will need your Windows CD
