Start menu remains unresponsive on Windows Vista

For the past few weeks, I canít use the start menu displayed on my laptop running on Windows Vista. It wonít respond whenever I click on any options in it. I have changed the menu into classic view after going to Control Panel. Even so, the menu is not working on my laptop. How can I restore it into original mode?

Press the F8 key while rebooting your laptop until you can view a boot option window. Select ‘Safe mode’ option available in the window for getting into Safe mode. Check whether the Start menu works in Safe mode. If not, perform a clean boot on your laptop to resolve the issue. Log on to your system using the account having administrator rights. Enter msconfig.exe into the search box after pressing the ‘Start’ button. Hit the ‘Enter’ key so that the Configuration Utility window will appear on the screen. Provide administrator password for confirmation after that and press the ‘General’ tab. Clear the checkbox appears next to ‘Load startup items’ label after clicking the ‘Selective startup’ option. Click on ‘Services’ tab and check the checkbox located near ‘Hide all Microsoft services’ option and press the ‘Disable all’ button. After that, click the ‘OK’ button and reboot your laptop to see whether the start menu responds or not.

    Dear Friends..

First of check Functions keys are working or Not..

    If those also not working..

Then you can select the Option restart with key board..

After Restarting it will work properly..

    Then also Not Responding..

Now you can Once remove and fit the Ram and Power Connections..

Thank you and All the best..
