    Restore Points

    System Restore allows you to recover from a any recent destructive damages to OS.
    System Restore dont take up more than 10GB of HDD and it contains all necessary information needed to restore the system to the chosen date.

    Generally system restore automatically creates restore points before following events :

    -> Application installation
    -> AutoUpdate installation

    How to schedule restore points ???
    System restore can be configured to create restore points at regular intervals.
    Windows 7 & Windows Vista, use built in task scheduler to start maintenance tasks.
    So, using the task scheduler, you can change the schedule of restore points.

    Type Task schedule in Start

    Now go to -> Microsoft \ Windows \ SystemRestore

    Now double click on "SR Queued Multiple triggers defined”

    Now you will see a window like this :->

    NOw click on one of the links & edit the setting :->

    hi friend,
    To automatically create system restore point go to this following website
    http://windowsxp.mvps.org/createrp.htm

    To create restore point manually means
    Go to Start-->all programs--->Accessories--->System tools--->System restore.There go to the link undo changes to restore point-->create restore point-->put some quotation which you want-->ok.
    This can be done after you boot windows for the first time.

    System restore point creates automatically when you start your computer first time
    It also create the restore points
    At regular intervals
    And also when you are installing the new software
    You can also create the system restore points manually when you are needed
    Making the restore point allows you to get back system to the same configuration as of now
    • Go to the start button
    • Then select All programs
    • Now choose the Accessories
    • Then select the System
    • Then Select the option System restore
    • Now choose the option create a restore point
    • Now click on Ok.
    • Then provide the text to identify it easily in future use
    • Then click on the option Create
    • Then close the window.
