- Go to start menu
- go to all programs
- select accessories
- select system tools
- in system tools select system restore
- Now a window of system restore will be displayed giving you two options like
Restore computer to earlier date
create restore point
- select the first option and click on next
- then a calender will open so select the appropriate date and click on next
- the system restoration will start and your system reboots.
Note:- system restoration removes all the files and software that were created after the restore point so it is important to take the backup of these files
Instructions: 1. Log-on to the computer as an Administrator.2. Click "Start" and then point to "All Programs."From there, go to "Accessories > System Tools> System Restore."3. This should be at least a day ago, but no more than a week ago as doing the restore will result in losing any programs that were installed between the time of the System Restore point and present time. 5. Click "OK" when prompted by System Restore. Then click "Next" again when asked by System Restore. The restore will now begin and maytake anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the speed of your computer and size of the restore point. 6. Log-on to the computer again as an Administrator after the computer has been restarted by the System Restore process. Click"OK" when the System Restore box appears and your computer will be restored to its former state.
