Stop C0000221 unknown error when trying to install Windows XP

Wanted to install Windows XP OS in my laptop to work with some software for my studies and it works only in Windows XP only. It just gives the error message as “Stop C0000221 unknown error” and I have tried several time but facing the same issue again and again. Can someone provide me the information to resolve this problem? Thanks.

    Hello...

This error cause by ntdll.dll is corrupt - either because the XP Installation CD is damaged, or the hardisk itself is damaged.

It could be an incorrect driver however, maybe a mass storage driver - this is unlikely if you are using the CD that came with your computer.

Also you have a loose damaged or incorrect cable to either your cdrom or hard drive.

I suggest replacing them both with quality 80 wire 40 pin IDE cables. It can also be caused by incorrect configuration if you have RAID or SATA drives.

    I hope this helps...
