Re: System not able to recognize bootable media on Windows XP

The Booting procees will be done by the foolowing step by step process :
First of all we need to find out the problem on booting media.then remaining steps as follows.
Ø Insert the Windows install CD-ROM, and boot the computer.
Ø When the text-based part of Setup begins, follow the prompts. Select the repair or recover option by pressing R.
Ø Select the Windows installlation you want to repair and enter your Administrator password.
Ø the password for the builtin administrator account on Windows XP is usually blank, so just press enter when it requests for a password.
Ø one still need to have a floppy disk with 3rd party drivers for SCSI/SATA and such, when booting with the Recovery Console.

    Hi,

Once all booting methods fail and the system refuses to even recognize the bootable media, you can be sure of something major has happend to your system.

    You need a Clean Installation.

Do you have Windows Installation Software with you, if yes,

You need to format the drive first , then insert Windows Installation CD in the optical drive and start installation process with a custom setup.

Backup all important files, records , data prior to formatting.

    Thank you.

    Hello,
You can try setting Boot preferences and see that you problem is solved or not.
To set boot preferences. You need to follow these simple steps:
    1. Restart you system.
    2. Goto BIOS menu.
    3. Go to Boot Tab then select Boot Device Priority
Then you will see all the bootable devices listed. There set the priority of your bootable media to first place then Save and Exit.
Then try again with the boot.

    Regards...
