Re: Taskbar and Icons disappears when the computer is in Idle mode

This problem is related to a program called “Explorer.exe”. This program comes by default with windows. It manages different part of User Interface in windows. This type of problem occurs when the windows fails to find the location of this program. If you encounter this problem then follow the below given steps to bring your taskbar and Icon back.
    Open Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL)
    Go to the PROCESSES Tab
    Right click on "explorer.exe"
    Select "End Process"
Then Open the FILE menu in Task Manager-click on File
    Select "New Task (Run)"
    Type explorer
    Click OK
It works on some systems but if it failed to work for you then there is another solution.J ust follow the below given steps:
    Open Task Manager
    Open the File Menu
    Select "New Task (Run)
    Type "regedit"
    Click OK
Now Look for the following subfolders
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS
    NT\CurrentVersion\ImageFileExecutionOptions
If you can see any subfolder something like “explorer” or “iexplorer” then delete
these subfolders and restart your computer.

Re: Taskbar and Icons disappears when the computer is in Idle mode

    Hi,
I think the problem can occur due to two reasons. Though the former reason which I am mentioning over here might not be a reason in your case, but I am still mentioning it, if at all this helps you.
1)Have you checked your screen saver. Is your screen saver the kind where your icons go missing and your computer screen gets darkened or gets frozen to the last working spot? Some default Windows screen saver are like this where the entire screen goes black or you have the screen without the icons. But there is a very little possibility that your problem is just a minor issue like this.
    2) If not then your system is entirely affected by virus and you need a good antivirus to clean that up. In this case you will see that no only the former icons are missing but also current icons that you are further trying to open also does not open up. In that case as soon as you open your machine, before you even run any other application, run the antivirus that you have in your machine. Run it for mainly C Drive and then when that part is scanned completely go for the other drives. After the threats are detected and deleted you restart your machine again and leave your machine for a while after opening some application software. You will the problem not occurring again.
