Is there anyway to install Windows 7 OS by using virtual CD/DVD drive?

I have mounted the Windows 7 OS iso image in my virtual CD/DVD drive so now is it possible for me to install Windows 7 OS from there? Can you tell me what are the steps to follow it? What all things I should make sure of before going for the installation from my virtual CD/DVD drive?

    Hiiiiii,
Yes you can, But you need to install a software like daemon tools and after installing daemon tools a virtual drive is created and now go the .ISO of windows 7 located in your computer and Open using the daemon tools and your drive is mounted now go to my computer and right click on virtual drive and click on "Install Or Run Program" ,your installation process starts and the process is same as normal installation, your system restarts several times but don't need to worry.
    Thank You

No, you cannot install Windows 7 from your virtual CD/DVD drive.

If you try to install Windows 7 by virtual drive, then after formatting C: drive during installation, your virtual drives will also be deleted.

So, your Windows 7 installation will be failed.

Firstly, you will have to mount your .iso file in a DVD disc by using a DVD Burning Software like Nero.

Then, install Windows 7 by using that DVD.

while you are installing the windows 7 by mounting it with virtual cd/dvd you have to do following things

1)firstly backup the local disk(C) of your system because all the files in your local disk will be erased
2)except the installation files of previous os every thing should be moved to other partitions
3)you should have the hard space required for the windows 7 installation files the space should be required is around 2.68 gb
4)you should have 1 gb of ram and processor of minimum intel pentium 4
5)if you have the above eligibility conditions then you can safely install windows 7 in your system

No dear, you can not install like that. Because if you do so it will halt at some time. The reason is while installing OS no other application will work under it or for it. Virtual CD/DVD is an application which helps you to have a fake or imaginary drive in your system after installing OS.
think practically, how can anyone install OS using Virtual Drive. hope you understand.

If you want to install it virtually in a virtual hard disk there is a separate procedure for it. for this you should have Virtual Box or Windows Virtual PC installed in your system.

    happy to assist you

    Hi,

No, You can not install Windows 7 OS using Virtual CD/DVD drive.

    >> When you install the Windows OS there are two Parts of Installation First is copying Files and Second is Expanding Files.

    >> When you install windows 7 using Virtual Drive first is completed but Second is not possible because Virtual Drive Setting is Deleted after First Step.

    >> So you must Need DVD/ Pen Drive to Install Windows 7.

    >> I hope you get me.

    Hi dear friend........

The clean installation is not possible with the Virtual CD/DVD drive

Because, the PC does not Accept the Virtual Drive as..... Boot

So, in this case ....you need to ....Download the Image Burner tool......from the internet .... and install it

And by using the tool...... burn the Image in to another Empty Disk ( DVD )..........only

then insert the DVD in to the ROM ......and restart the PC

then press DELETE key .....and select the BOOT menu by using the Navigation keys........and select the Fist Boot as CD/DVD

then follow the GENERAL METHOD ...... and install the Windows 7

    ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!
