Trouble in deleting CD image file from Windows Vista

There is a CD image file on the desktop of my PC running on Windows Vista which I want to delete from the system. When I try to send that file into recycle bin, I keep getting the error “The action cannot be completed because the file is open in another program”. How can I prevent my system from giving this error message?

Boot up your system in safe mode and then try to delete the CD image file. The first step required for that is to restart your PC if it already powered on. While your system starts to power on, just keep on pressing the F8 key. Advanced boot options will now appear on the screen. Select the ‘Safe Mode’ from it using the up/down arrow keys on the keyboard. After that, press the ‘Enter’ key and wait until you can view the welcome screen. Login your system with your administrator account.

The problem is that the program that you used to mount the image is still using the image. In this case use magic disk. Go to the start menu find the magic disk folder and in the folder there should be an option to uninstall magic disk. If you try un-installing it from conrtol programs add and remove but it would not let you. You can also click on computer from the start menu and see if the file you are trying to delete is still mounted (appears as a CD image). If it is you can click on the drive hit eject.

    Thank you.

    Hi dear friend.........

IF the Image CD file is used by the another program .........then the above error will be shown

And if you want to delete the file.....first of all ...find which program has been using this file.

after that close that program ...... and Now delete the file........It will be deleted

    ALL THE BEST....!!!!!!
