Trouble in printing documents from Windows Vista using HP Laserjet 1020

Printer server gets stuck constantly while printing documents from Windows Vista using HP Laserjet 1020. I need to reboot the printer server in between the printing process several times for getting the documents printed successfully. Is there any way to fix up this issue?

First of all, you should press the Start button and then edit the command ‘cmd’ on the search box. Then, you should right click on ‘Command Prompt’ appears on your screen and click on ‘Run as administrator’ option. You should then type the password if prompted or click on the ‘OK’ option. After that, you should type ‘net stop spooler’ on your command prompt window and press the ‘Enter’ key. Then, you should type ‘del%systemroot%\System32\ spool\printers\* /Q’ on the same window and press the ‘Enter’ key. You should restart the printer spooler afterwards by typing ‘net start spooler’on the command prompt window. After that, you should set your PC in clean boot by performing the following steps consecutively.
    • Press the ‘Start’ button
    • Enter ‘msconfig’ in search box and press ‘Enter’ key
    • Type password or give confirmation or Click on ‘Continue’ option
    • Choose the ‘General’ tab
    • Click on ‘Selective Startup’
    • Clear all the items in Load Startup by clicking on the checkbox
    • Press the ‘Services’ tab
    • Hide all Microsoft services by again clicking on relevant checkbox
    • Click on ‘Disable All’ option
You should then click on ‘OK’ option and restart your PC if prompted. Then, you should check whether the issue get resolved or not.
