Trouble in sharing wireless internet connection from Windows 7

When I change the adapter’s IP address for sharing the wireless connection in my PC running on Windows 7, I get an error message saying “An error occurred while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled”. A blank space is given under this message with ‘null’ at the end part. Is there any fix available for this problem?

Get into start menu after pressing the ‘Start’ button and click the ‘Run’ option from it. When you can view the ‘Run’ dialog box, type services.msc into the ‘Open’ field. Then, click the ‘OK’ button and wait until a list of services pop up on the right side of the screen. Locate the following services from that list.
    • Application Layer Gateway Service
    • Network Location Awareness (NLA)
    • Remote Access Connection Manager
    • Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
    • Telephony
    • Plug And Play
    • Network Connections
    • Remote Access Auto Connection Manager
Double-click on each service so that you will be redirected to its window. Locate the ‘Startup Type’ option available in it. Set that option to ‘Automatic’ and click the ‘OK’ button. Quit the ‘Services’ window afterwards and restart the PC.
