Unregister the Windows Installer from your PC and register it again. For that, you have to first click on the ‘Start’ button and select ‘Run’ option. Type MSIEXEC /UNREGISTER into the command prompt to unregister the Installer and MSIEXEC /REGSERVER to re-register it. Press the ‘OK’ button after each command to quit the command prompt. If this solution does not work, then restart the Windows Installer service on your PC. For that, you need to type services.msc after clicking on ‘Run’ option under start up menu. After pressing the ‘Enter’ key, right-click on the ‘Windows Installer’ option available. Then, left click on either ‘Restart’ or ‘Start’ option.
