    Is it true that Dell is not going to support Windows OS anymore for their laptops and PC? Why they have to take such a decision?

    I was planning to buy Dell laptop after 4 months but now I heard that Dell laptops are no more going to support Windows, Why they have to do something like that? I was planning to buy Dell laptop with Windows 7 but now it comes only with Ubuntu OS which I donít like to have. So can you list me down the laptops which comes with Windows OS installed?

    My dear friend
    Who told you dell is not going to support windows OS anymore.Its not true as far as i am concerned.
    Even if they had take such decision,you don't have to worry.
    You install windows OS over ubuntu OS on you own.Its not difficult.
    Even if you insist on buying preloaded windows PC.there are many manufacturers in the market some are:
    HP
    lenovo
    sony-vaio

    don't worry.

    I think you may heard fake information, now a day's total computer world running with windows and mobiles also moving towards windows, anyway still you have options to get what you want.
    If it is so better to reserve a piece for you, or go through seconds (Not recommended). And here you have a list of laptops which comes with windows installed
    --> Lenovo
    --> Sony vaio
    --> Toshiba
    --> Acer
    --> Samsung
    --> Asus
    Like this almost all brands laptop supports windows 7 OS and comes with inbuilt OS. (But it is customer's choice to buy a laptop with OS installed or install by them manually).

    hi there,

    This is not the fact, just a rumor.
    Any computer company like Dell can't just simply stop selling Windows in its products. Windows is still the most popular OS being used worldwide. No one is going to stop laptops and desktops being sold this much products without Windows atleast now for a couple of years.

    @@@ Hello dude @@@

    • The dell has officially announced that would cancel or scale-back plans to launch windows 8 products of their own.
    • However Microsoft will compete with them to sell windows 8 hardware.
    • So you can have a full range of windows 8 machines.

    @@@ Thank you @@@

    dear friend,

    you must have heard a fake news.

    there is no such announcement that Dell will not release windows based laptops.

    since windows is the most user friendly OS & if Dell have taken such a decision then their business will be diminished in front of other laptop maker company.

    so don't listen to these pure rumors & go ahead- buy a laptop as your choice.

    Yes, it is possible that Dell will now have Ubuntu as their default OS. Although Ubuntu is also user friendly now after so many upgrades.
    But still user interface of Windows is much simpler.

    But you can the uninstall that and install Windows 7.
    You can easily get Windows 7 CD / ISO file.

    How to install Windows ???

    Insert the Windows 7 CD and then restart , press F8 key to change booting options, select the CD drive to boot.
    Now you will be asked where to install windows 7, select the drive or you overwrite the Ubuntu OS also.

    After this you will be guided by Windows Installation Wizard.

    What you heard is absolutely fake news. If something is really happening like that you need not to worry at time also. because you can purchase your desired OS from the market and install it. Suppose you want to install it Windows 7, you can purchase it and install. Nobody will stop you from that. So my dear friend don't worry about this.
    Windows OS is not free, so you can also choose to Linux OS's like Ubuntu, Red hat, etc.,

    happy to assit you
