    Unable to “Personalize” option in the Context Menu of the Desktop in Windows 7

    In the Context Menu of the Desktop, we have “Personalize” option. I do not want it and I need to remove it. I tried to remove it, but could not do it. I need help from you to solve the problem, by providing the solution. Thank you for the solution.

    Solution

    STEP 1: Click Start >> Run.
    STEP 2: Type “regedit”, hit Enter.
    STEP 3: “Registry Editor” opens.
    STEP 4: Move to the Key “HKEY_ HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DesktopBackground\Shell”.
    STEP 5: Go to “Personalize” sub key under the Key “Shell”.
    STEP 6: Delete the “command” Key in the right hand side.
    STEP 7: Delete the “Personalize” key.
    STEP 8: Restart the System, your problem is solved.
