Unable to access network while launching XP mode in Windows 7

I have recently purchased a PC running on Windows 7 and installed both XP Mode and Virtual PC into it. There is no problem in connecting my system to the network set up with a group of Windows XP computers and access each computer while in Windows 7 mode. But, it is not possible to even initiate the network connection with XP mode. How can I fix up this issue?

The first step required is to turn off the Virtual PC on your system. Then, click the ‘Start’ button and select ‘All Programs’ from the start menu. After that, click the ‘Windows Virtual PC’ folder to open it. The next step required is to click the ‘Windows Virtual PC’ program inside that folder. Locate ‘Windows XP Mode.vmcx’ afterwards from the available options and right click on it. Navigate through the context menu and click the ‘Settings’ option. Then, you need to click the ‘Networking’ option. You can then set Adapter 1 available on the screen to the network adapter of host PC. Finally, press the ‘OK’ buttin to save changes and start up the virtual PC.

    Hello !!

your problem is good enough to tingle your brain.
since you have installed XP through virtual pc or in virtual pc.
and you are using it virtual pc.
actually you have not assigned network pipe to your XP in virtual pc setting.
i mean to say you have to do some settings in the virtual pc for getting internet access on your XP.

so do follow the steps given:-

    1. open virtual pc.
    2. go to settings of your XP there.
    3. you will see network option, just go inside it.
    4. there you will see network pipe option
    5. select >> allow network for this OS.

    click ok >> apply
    your problem is solved.

    thanks for posting.
