Unable to connect Gmail to Windows Phone

Google mail has been my default mail programme for my android phone. Last week I bought a Windows phone. I find it difficult to connect to Gmail. What should be done to use Gmail in my Windows Phone?

It can not be a issue. And if you are facing this issue then it may be a problem in your

--May the app you are using is not supporting fully

--if you are trying to open it in your browser then confirm that page is opening or not

--Also check that internet connection is working properly on your android or not.

Your provided information is not sufficient for a conform solution. So it will be more
better that mention all the information regarding this problem.

    Adjusting the Gmail settings
Now press the Back button to navigate back to your accounts and tap Gmail to adjust the settings for how your Windows Phone will interact with your Gmail account.
    Attachment 7256

Tap the checkboxes to download your email, contacts, and calendar whenever your Windows Phone connects to Gmail.
    Attachment 7254

Tap Download New Content to open the drop-down menu and set the frequency with which you want to download your Google email.
    Attachment 7255

Then tap Download Email From to set the time frame from which you want to download your Google email.
    Attachment 7257

These settings in the lower portion of the screen allow you to change the User Name and Password associated with your Gmail account. These are important as you can only associate one Gmail account with your Windows Phone. The Server setting will be set automatically when you first log in Gmail from your Windows Phone. The Server and Logging settings should be left alone unless you're confident you know what you're doing.

    Hi,

If all the other programs are running in full throttle, yet gmail is not, possibly there is something in gmail which is not working for the mobile handset.

Do a fresh download of gmail software and install clean into the set.

Install an antivirus in your handset and keep monitoring the system against virus infection.

    Thanks.

    hi there,
the answer to your query is given there itself on MICROSOFT website.
    You can toggle it here.
THere its given by a user that:
when i passed the checklist and reset the account on my phone i noticed that i had missed an advanced settings tab on one of the screens where i had that tick the use SSL boxes but most importantly this was also the place where i could select the connection that my e-mail should use and that drop down menu had selected the wrong connection.
It had selected "Internet Connection" in stead of "Vodafone Live!"

After changing this everything worked fine!
Hope it will help you also...
