Unable to connect to internet in my PC with Windows 7 ultimate OS? How to fix this problem?

I recently upgraded my PC to WIndows 7 Ultimate and now am not able to connect to the internet either with the Ethernet LAN and in Wireless. Tried installing the needed drivers but still no help. Is it a problem with the Windows 7 Ultimate OS? or something else? Can you tell me the steps which I should take care of connecting the internet in Windows 7 Ultimate?

If you are not unable to connect your PC with Internet, then there may be certain issues regarding this problem:

Firstly, ensure that all network drivers are functioning properly.
If not, then re-install them using Windows Installation Disk.

Secondly, ensure that there is no error in Network Connection.
Sometimes connection speed is too low to connect to Internet.

Thirdly, check your PC whether it has any virus or corrupted system files or not.
If system files are corrupt, then you may face problem while connecting to Internet.
In this case, you must repair your Windows by using Windows Installation Disk.

Also, if virus is present, then you must remove it using Anti-virus like AVG, Avast, etc.

    Hiiiiiiii
as you have told you have recently upgraded to windows 7 in windows 7 Ethernet drivers are automatically installed and but some times drivers may not be installed correctly then you can also install drivers but some motherboard CD's doesn't in windows in this you have to download from internet and if your drivers are working properly then try troubleshooting the problem and in may cases the problem is cleared.
    thanks and regards

    hii

If you are not able to connect to internet in your pc with windows 7 then you can try for following steps to connect with internet.. :

    - Firstly check for whether you are in the protected mode or not...
Go to tools - internet options - security and set the bar to the lowest security then try to access the internet

    - Also one of the common reasons is the antivirus installed in the computers .. try disabling antivirus for a while to check whether it is the reason for the non connection of your pc with internet..

    - You can also try unticking the automatically detect settings option in your internet explorer..
For this go to tools - internet options - connections - LAN settings... there you will see this option of automatically detect settings .. just untick it if it is ticked..

    - You can try running the windows diagnostics option it...
For this just right click on the network icon in your system tray and choose troubleshoot problems...
This will tell you what the problem is ...

    - Also you can try by uninstalling your network card... go to device manager and then select your network card and click on uninstall ..

I hope if you follow these steps you will be able to connect to internet without any problem ..

    thanks

my dear friend this problem is happening because you have performed a upgrade.
As you know all of your previous settings are lost after the upgrade or new installation.
So here what you need to do is create a new connection.
And for wireless networks you need to change your adapter settings.
    So good luck!!!
