Re: Unable to connect Windows XP based Dell Inspiron Notebook with Wireless Network

Your wireless network adapter may not sync with its wireless network software. This issue can be resolved by configuring wireless network settings. As a first step, click the ‘Start’ button and select ‘Run’ option from the menu pop up on the screen. Type ncpa.cpl into the field visible on the screen afterwards and press the ‘OK’ button. Click on ‘Network Connections’ option and then choose your wireless connection. After that, select ‘Change settings of this connection’ option and press the ‘Wireless Networks’ tab. Then, click the checkbox near ‘Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings’ label. You can follow the steps given below to start up Wireless Zero Configuration.
    • Click on ‘Start’ button and select ‘Run’ option
    • Enter %SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc /s into corresponding field and press the ‘OK’ button
    • Click on ‘Wireless Zero Configuration’ twice
    • Select ‘Automatic’ from the ‘Startup type’ list and press the ‘Apply’ button
    • Click the ‘Start’ option in Service status area and hit the ‘OK’ button

In Windows XP it's very easy to connect wireless network. You are trying to connect the computer with the Windows inbuilt configuration. I would recommend try to update the drivers. Try to connect using the Wireless card utility.

:: Go to the window start and open it.

:: Now select the "run command" and then type the "%System Root%\system32\services.msc /s " into the search Box and open it.

:: Once it opens, hit the wireless zero configuration.

:: Then go to the start-up section and hit the automatic option in it.

:: And then apply and restart the PC and after that see your network problem is solving or not.
