Unable to create New Folders due to Virus on Windows XP System.

Am unable to create any of the New Folder in any location on my entire hard disk, the problem is Virus, am more confident about this point because there is no other sources that can restrict to create new files and folders, and apart from this every other function works fine on my machine except creating the new folders.

If you are so sure about the Virus infection behind the folder issue,

Go for a comprehensive cleaning process using a quality antivirus, or log in to www.microsoft.com, here you can find virus and malware removal tool, which can be used free of charge, and it works well. Use it to clean the system from virus and do your desired job.

Think of another possibility, wheather you have Administrative priviledge to create, rename, delete folders?
If you don't have the authority, click start, type in the start box cmd and press enter.
Right click on the command prompt, select Run As Administrator, and press enter.
Now , try to create NEW FOLDERs and have the experience.

    Dear friend,

If you’re sure that your PC is infected with virus then you should fully scan the PC with a branded, updated anti-virus software.

There may be registry problem with your operating system. To repair the registry problem, you can use the following utilities:

    >Registry Repair from Glarysoft
    > Registry Mechanic
    > Advanced System Optimizer
    > WinZip Registry Optimizer
    > Uniblue Registry Booster
    > Advanced SystemCare PRO

    Thanks!

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say...............

1.If you are that much sure about the virus affected your system.

2.Then i advice you to install the best antivirus software in your system and scan your system.

3.If you get any affected files then you tr to delete them.

4.If that is not possible try to clean them.

5.If you do not get the affected files while scanning the the problem is with the OS files so you insert the OS Cd and then restart your system.

6.While starting press any key you will go to the installation wizard there you press the key 'R' to start repairing OS files.

I hope by doing as i said you can solve your problem.

    Have a nice day...............
