Unable to Install iTunes in Windows 7

I have a laptop with windows 7(64-bit) installed in it.First of all when I installed iTunes, it asked me for an update so i allowed the Application to update itself but after sometimes, it flashed an error message “update failed”. It is quite common problem. I have tried the same process multiple time and every time the result remains same. I have uninstalled the Application as well but nothing helps. What should I do to resolve this issue?

Check whether your iTunes is compatible with 64-bit Windows 7 or not.

If it is 32-bit Compatible iTunes, then you may not install it in 64-bit Windows 7.

You will have to download 64-bit iTunes from the http://www.filehippo.com

However, if iTunes is not installing, you can also use many other media players like WMP, VLC, etc.

dear friend,

It seems like you are using an older version of i-Tunes.

If update process is getting failed each time then you must stop trying that.

Delete the program completely from the directory & install a fully upgraded version of i-Tunes.

Go to appstore & download its latest version.

Don't worry-it is the software,free of cost.

Hope these info will help you a lot.

dear friend,

It'd be better if you completely remove the i-Tunes from your computer & download the latest version of it from app store & if you not go for updating process.

Because sometimes update process can't be successful for the corrupted update path in the previous version.

Download the current version of i-Tunes.

Clean the temp directory using Windows Installer Cleanup utility.

Open the command prompt & unregister/re-register to windows installer service.

Enable the windows installer service to install iTunes-

Click on the Start button.
Type Services.msc in the search box & hit enter.
Services window will appear-now double click on windows installer to start the service & click on OK.

Now try to run it as an administrator by right clicking on it & selecting the Run option.

Hope this will work.
