There is very less possibility of faulty DVD because you are saying that you have purchased the branded product and not the pirated. However this type of error occurs due to problem in ISO file. Generally this error occurs with pirated DVD. I will advise you to check your DVD drive first. Check whether it works fine or not by inserting some other CD or DVD. Sometimes people donít know whether their computer contains CD drive or DVD drive. In that case it will not be able to run DVD on your computer so You will not get any response. Make sure that your computer contains the DVD drive. If there is no any problem in DVD drive then it is sure that your windows DVD is faulty. Contact the person from which you have purchased the Windows DVD. If you are not getting any response from that person then contact Microsoft Personnels.

By seeing your problem that you stated , the reasons may be any of the following

    1. DVD Drive problem
    2. DVD problem
    3. Boot Menu settings problem

    1. DVD Drive Problem:- Make sure that your drive is a DVD Drive. it will be printed on the drive so check it once. If its a dvd drive then check its working or on by playing other dvds in that drive. if other dvds are working then follow the other problem solutions

    2. DVD Problem:- The dvd you bought might be a faulty one. so once check it by boot it in other system. if its working in other system then its definitely your boot menu settings problem

3.Boot Menu Settings :- Any os that you are booting from cd or dvd must be selected as first boot device in your boot menu.to do so follow these steps
    1. Restart your system
    2. while your system is starting , press F1 or F2 or DEL key repeatedly until you see the Bios screen
    3. The key to press depends on your mother board. Intel boards works on F1 or F2. other all mother boards works in DEL key
    4. Once you enter the Bios menu , direct the cursor to the boot menu
    5. In the boot menu select the first boot device as the Cd or DVD Rom
    6. after changing , press F10 to save and exit
    7. Now the computer will restart and boots from the drive
    8. After the starting screen now you will see the system boots from the dvd drive

    Dear Friend,
Don't worry your problem seems to be solved.

If you had not installed any Operating system, and for the first you are installing the Windows with its original DVD. Then follow the steps to install your windows.
(assuming that your DVD drive is working properly)

Follow the steps given below :

    1) Insert your Windows DVD in your DVD/CD drive.

    2) Now, restart your computer.

    3) After, restarting your computer, when display get brighten up quickly press 'F9' (or it may be 'F8' 'F10' (may differ on computers) ) Button on the keyboard.

    4) Keep pressing the keys until a screen opens up and have a heading 'Boot Device Priority / Boot Device Option'.

    5) And when the Screen opens up, choose the option named 'Internal CD/DVD Drive' Or 'DVD/CD ROM'.

Re: Unable to Install windows 7 in a Fresh New Computer

There may not any fault with with your DVD or Computer, before installing the operating system just go to BIOS settings and change the boot priority as follows...
    BOOT 1: CD/DVD WRITER
BOOT 2: HARD DISK DEVICE (HDD DEVICE)
    BOOT 3: USB or DISABLE
    BOOT 4: DISABLE
make changes like this then select 'save and exit'.
now your system will take boot from cd/dvd.
still have queries you can go through your mother board manual.
hope it will work, try it all the best

    dear friend,

    check your DVD drive first.

you may check it by connecting to any other computer & installing the driver.

if you've bought brand new original windows 7 DVD then the possibility of its to become faulty is too low.

it may be problem of your DVD writer.

check your DVD drive or contact with that person from whom you bought it.

First check your "DVD drive" is working properly & check your requirements are available or not

If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:

    >1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

    >1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

    >16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

    >DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

    After this proceed installion!!

Re: Unable to Install windows 7 in a Fresh New Computer

We have to follow these steps if wants to install Window 7 in Fresh new computer:-If we have compatible hardware and computer with the Windows 7 and it still stops responding then disable all unnecessary hardware. After that remove universal serial bus (USB) devices. Then remove or disable network adapters, sound cards, and serial cards; and then restart the installation. If we have more than one internal storage device attached to the computer, disconnect all except the target hard disk where you will be installing Windows 7.Hence Windows 7 will be installed.
